There are lots of mental health continuums available; this is the one we use. 
We find that if you are going to talk about mental health, it is helpful to use language that we as humans are already comfortable with.  So, we use words that we are familiar with for our physical states: healthy, injured, hurt.

Is it okay not to be okay?

We think it’s NECESSARY to not be ok at times if you’re going to live with meaning and purpose and live a rich and full life.  If you live life fully with meaning and purpose, you can expect that all the feelings will come up at some point … because you care.

Does using physical words like Health, Hurt, and Injured make talking about it any easier?

Not every day is awesome—so what?
Sometimes we feel nothing at all—meh!

Showing up when you’re stressed, when you’re tired, or even when you feel nothing at all is the best opportunity to grow.

Have you considered why you feel certain ways about the topic of mental health?  How we grew up has a lot to do with it.  It can be helpful to reflect on what messages you received throughout your life that have shaped you.

What messages have shaped us?
You should be ashamed 
of mental illness.
It’s not real.
Mental health only touches women, men are strong. someone with a mental situation is weak.

Leave your mental health issues at home, don’t bring them to work.
Don’t talk about it.
It’s a sign of weakness to look unhappy.
In my culture, we aren’t open about our mental health.

It’s okay to struggle,
asking for help is okay.
Toughen up.
Years ago, it was tabu, but in recent years there’s more awareness and willingness to discuss with positive intent.

Things happen, life happens, you can’t control that… but you can control how you respond to what’s happening.

I am stressed.

Intentionally incorporate anti-stress actions when you feel stress coming on.

Know yourself and fill your tank regularly so that it never gets empty.

Identify what you want to feel and create opportunities for yourself to get there.
